Književni petak (Literary Friday), literary tribune, founded on 4th of November 1955, every friday from February to May and October to Decembre in the City Libray of Zagreb. Almost every Croatian literary man and woman take a part in the tribune. Literary Friday had also as a guests the well known world writers: Jean Paul sartre, Günter Grass, Jiŕi Menzel, Alain Filkenkraut, Ismail Kadare, Claudio Magris, Gay Gavriel Kay…

Mjesec hrvatske knjige (Month of the Croatian Book 15. 10. - 15. 11.), traditional manifestation which take part mostly in the public libraries in the Republic of Croatia.
Part of the manifestation is national Quiz for promoting a reading for school children
