Earth Day: Inventing Tomorrow
VIRTUAL FILM SCREENING: ''INVENTING TOMORROW''We invite you to participate in the virtual celebration of 2021 Earth Day.
In celebration of Earth Day 2021, American Film Showcase (AFS) offers the opportunity to take part in virtual screening of the new 55-minute version of the documentary'' Inventing Tomorrow'', followed by a special recorded conversation between Laura Nix, the filmmaker, Sahithi Pingali, a student scientist featured in the film, and Megan Smith, the former CTO of the Obama Administration.
Inventing Tomorrow follows several teenage innovators from around the globe who are creating cutting-edge solutions to confront the world's environmental threats - found right in their own backyards - while navigating the doubts and insecurities that mark adolescence.
The accompanying conversation will focus on the need for storytellers to collaborate with local innovators to capture how their work addresses environmental threats to their communities.
