Read Across America

A group of American Studies students from Gornjogradska gimnazija led by their English teacher and mentor Snjžana Liović will present their reading project inspired by Read Across America initiative.

The conversation and talk about reading and books will follow the interactive presentations. Kahlil Epps, Fulbright ETA, and Marina Lončar, American Corner coordinator will act as moderators. 

The students have selected a variety of novels from 12 different American states to explore and find out what they can learn about a state from the selected novel of an American author. 
 

Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading. The initiative was started in the late 1990s.

Read Across America, the National Education Association (NEA) program,  focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
