Sharing Literature Aloud: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

The American Corner hosted a group of sixth grade students from Osnovna škola Nikole Hribara (The Nikola Hribar Elementary School) from Velika Gorica on October 30, 2014. Carlee Shults, English Teaching Assistant, read from Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn to introduce students to the language and context of the American classic in the English language.

On the eve of Halloween, the students were thrilled to be able to learn about Halloween and traditional practices in the U.S. through the engaging presentation prepared by Ms Carlee Shults. They actively participated in the dialogue with the native speaker and shared their experiences and Croatian practices.
