The Civil War was the bloodiest, most destructive and most impactful war in American history.
Historian Dr. Jason Hansen will briefly outline the course of the war for Croatian students, explaining why it took as long as it did and what enabled the North to finally win. Along the way he will also draw attention to the war’s lasting legacy, ranging from the creation of the Thanksgiving holiday to current controversies over the Confederate flag.
