New Hampshire Is a state in the northeastern United States, in the country's New England region. It is known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. Concord is the capital city. Large deposits of granite give New Hamphire the nick name the Granite State. New Hampshire is the 5th smallest by land area and the 10th least populous of the 50 United States. It is one of the original 13 colonies, and it was the first state to have its own state constitution. New Hampshire became the ninth U. S. state when it ratified the U.S. Constitution. The state motto is "Live Free or Die', describing the spirit of independence. New Hampshire plays an important role in national elections “As New Hampshire goes, so goes the nation''.
